Sketch Sword Unsheathed: May 2013: (c) Luke Bennette |
In the Sword Unsheathed sketch the hands aren't up to par with previous works however the sword was enjoyable to draw and the background is intriguing to me.

Sketch Magneto: May 2013: (c) Luke Bennette |
This is a man with a Greek Helmet. The name Magneto isn't appropriate until the digital enhancement.

Colored Sword Unsheathed: May 2013: (c) Luke Bennette |
The colored version of the Sword Unsheathed gave me some fun opportunities for shading and for lighting. However I messed up on one point. The shading should go over the entire hand and should extend down to the bottom where the initials are located.

Colored Magneto: May 2013: (c) Luke Bennette |
Magneto when colored is more enjoyable and it is clear that the eye dominates the picture. It sort of draws you, making it hard to focus your eyes on the more intricate designs of the helmet and the rest of the face.

Digital Sword Unsheathed: May 2013: (c) Luke Bennette |
The digital version of the Sword gives a very epic look that sort of makes you think of the glory of chivalry; however, I'm not sure that anyone's view of chivalry comes with a sword based on what we know of medieval chivalry nowadays.

Digital Magneto: May 2013: (c) Luke Bennette |
Magneto now has a digital effect that almost hides the eye and shades the interior behind the helmet. It is a nice contrast that suggests the helmet is actually supposed to distract you from what is going on in the window of the soul.
