This picture used to be very colorful, with reds and golds and bright oranges hued with pink. The current edition has an ethereal look that suggests an angelic visitation in dreams. This particular picture was drawn in contrast to the picture of the contemplating priest. It was meant as a two part bookmark that reminds the viewer that when we close our eyes and contemplate Jesus we find an almost blurred image of the resplendent glory that is Jesus due to our inability to see him outside of the capacity of our imagination or without the infused sight of the Holy Spirit.
