Drawing Joan of Ark was a lot of fun. I started with a sketch format as seen above, where I used pointillism for shading. Then I used my pens to pinpoint the entire banner with white and also the hair and the staff on which the banner stands. Then I colored the banner with highlighting yellows and white while I used the same highlight on the armor and then colored it in with grays and blacks. The digital effect is an ancient canvas which fills in the color.
